Location: Outpatient Physiotherapy, West Hertfordshire Therapy Unit, Jacketts Field, Abbots Langley, WD5 0PA
Ward/Dept: Physiotherapy Watford
Hours: Full time 22.5 hours per week (part time candidates will be considered)
Shift Pattern: Monday Friday, 8am to 4pm (30-minute lunch break)

We have an opportunity available for a specialist physiotherapist to become a valued member of the physiotherapy team at West Hertfordshire NHS Trust, and work in a multi-disciplinary team.
Main duties of the job
The Responsibilities

Caseload may include patients presenting with conditions such as: - post natal birth injuries, incontinence (bladder and bowel), prolapse, pelvic floor dysfunction, pre and post-natal pelvic girdle pain, overactive bladder etcetera.
To provide a specialised pelvic health assessment and treatment for patients with complex needs, and to provide expert advice, guidance and information to patients, health and social care professionals, carers and relatives and other non-professionals.
To perform advanced physiotherapeutic assessment of patients with diverse presentations and complex physical and psychological conditions, to use specialist clinical reasoning to diagnose, interpret and then develop, deliver, and adapt an individualised treatment programme.
To communicate with relevant medical and nursing staff, social workers, and other health care professionals, and patients relatives and carers who may be in direct contact with the post holder with regard to patient care in order to facilitate a team approach to patient care.
To hold responsibility for own case load and be responsible for a defined area of the service or a particular patient type, working without direct supervision.
