Consultant Obstetrics and Gynaecology

We have an exciting opportunity for an Obstetrics and Gynaecology Consultant to work with us at East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust in William Harvey Hospital.
We are looking for a dedicated doctors ready to work in a Trust striving to make patient experiences better than ever.
Details about the role:
- Speciality: Obstetrics and Gynaecology
- Location: East Kent
- Shift patterns: 08:00-20:00 Mon-Fri on-going, part-time hours also available.
- Hours per week: 20-50 hours available
- Start date: ASAP- no end date, this is on-going the client will accept short term contracts
We are currently recruiting for a Consultant to cover Obstetrics and Gynaecology William Harvey Hospital East Kent.
- A thorough and broad training in obstetrics and gynaecology
- To be able to take responsibility for delivering the service
- Ability to offer expert clinical opinion and surgical skills in complex cases
- Ability to take full and independent care of gynaecological problems arising as emergencies
- Ability to develop and deliver a rapid access service for suspected cancer within cancer wait times
- Ability to perform general gynaecological surgery independently
Its important that you have a generalist mindset and are prepared to work flexibly in a number of complex ways. You will often be the first point of contact for many new patients entering the hospital, so you will need to be able to adapt and treat new patients quickly. Essentially, your role will be that of a problem-solver: quickly identifying and resolving medical conditions with the right courses of action.
Requirements

- Valid GMC
- Right to work in the UK
- Will be required to provide at least 2 referees
- Minimum of 3 months paid experience in the NHS/UK
