Job summary
Tiptree Medical Centre is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated pharmacy technician to join our friendly, supportive and forward-thinking practice team. This is a part-time role with 25+ hours per week required. The ability to work on a Friday is essential, but the other days are negotiable.

Main duties of the job
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in medicines optimisation, improving prescribing quality, and supporting safe, effective patient care within a busy and collaborative primary care environment. You will work closely with GPs, clinical pharmacists, nursing staff and the wider multidisciplinary team to make a real difference to patient outcomes.

- Registered pharmacy technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
We are looking for a motivated and patient-focused pharmacy technician who enjoys working in a collaborative primary care environment and takes pride in delivering high standards of medicines optimisation and patient safety. We are particularly keen to recruit someone who is proactive, approachable and enthusiastic about developing the pharmacy technician role within general practice.
Essential
- Experience working within primary care or hospital pharmacy
- Strong knowledge of medicines management, prescribing systems and repeat prescribing processes
- Experience undertaking medicines optimisation work and clinical audit
- Understanding of prescribing governance, medication safety and quality improvement
- Confident interpreting clinical information and communicating this clearly to both clinicians and patients
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritise workload effectively
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively within a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate, patient-centred approach
- IT confident with good data management skills
- The ability to work on Fridays

- Experience supporting QOF, medication safety searches or prescribing audits
