Job summary

Stanford Le-hope Primary Care Network are proud to offer an outstanding opportunity for a newly qualified GP to join one of the leading and most forward-thinking Primary Care Networks in the area. You will work flexibly between 58 sessions per week, providing clinical sessions within core network hours, 08:0018:30. This is a fully on-site role, remote working is not permitted.

You will work collaboratively with the PCNs multidisciplinary team, including ANPs, clinical pharmacists, paramedics, first contact physiotherapists, health care assistants, physician associates and social prescribers.

The GP will manage a varied clinical caseload, contribute to PCN service development, support junior clinicians, and participate in quality improvement and teaching activities.

Main duties of the job

  • Provide high quality, patient centred and holistic general practice care.
  • Deliver 15 minute appointments.
  • Typical session structure would be; morning 12 patients plus catchup slots and afternoon, 10 patients plus catch-up slots
  • Appointments will be a mix of face-to-face and telephone consultations.
  • Work from the PCN SystmOne module, with full access to all member practices patient records.
  • Consultations will be pre-triaged by senior clinicians within the patients registered practice (total triage model).
  • Undertake occasional home visits when required (rare, due to PCN visiting paramedic).
  • Use Accurx for messaging, email correspondence, and video consultations.
  • Review and action own investigation results daily, ensuring timely and safe follow-up.
  • Manage clinical tasks assigned to you, ensuring they do not accumulate beyond safe levels.
  • Review a proportion of incoming correspondence and ensure timely action.
  • Generate referrals and task the appropriate practice secretarial team on the same day to ensure safe processing.
  • Respond to medical emergencies occurring within the PCN estate or premises.
