Job summary

Ardleigh Surgery are seeking a highly organised, proactive, and motivated practice manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our busy and patient-focused GP practice. This is a key leadership role, responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the practice while maintaining high standards of patient care, staff wellbeing, and regulatory compliance.

This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a supportive, close-knit environment.

Main duties of the job

  • Oversee daily operations of the GP practice, ensuring efficiency and excellent patient service
  • Lead, manage, and support administrative, reception and clinical staff
  • Ensure compliance with NHS regulations, CQC standards, and data protection requirements
  • Develop and implement practice policies and procedures
  • Coordinate staffing, recruitment, training, and performance management
  • Act as the main point of contact for patients, staff, and external stakeholders
  • Support the delivery of high-quality clinical services through effective administration
