Job summary

North Chelmsford Healthcare Centre are seeking a caring and proactive receptionist to join our team on a part-time basis to covermaternityleave. This will be fixed until 11th January 2027.This role involves working across both of our Chelmsford sites: North Chelmsford Healthcare Centre and our branch surgery, Beaulieu Healthcare Centre.

Working hours will be as follows;

Monday:08:00 14:00 Tuesday:08:00 14:00 Friday:12.30 18:30

Main duties of the job

• Handle patient queries via phone, email, and in person
• Assist the triage doctor as part of the triage team
• Arrange home visits
• Manage card and cash payments from patients
• Oversee waiting lists and follow-up appointments
• Support clinicians and staff with day-to-day tasks

Training and support will be provided with a comprehensive3-week induction toensure a smooth onboarding.

The practice has achieved a Good CQC rating and has an excellent reputation amongst Chelmsford residents. We are part of the Elizabeth Courtauld Partnership and are expanding with a new branch surgery opening in Beaulieu shortly.
