Receptionist/Care Navigator

Job summary

Are you looking for a rewarding role where no two days are the same and your work genuinely makes a difference? Woodview Medical Centre is seeking an enthusiastic and reliable care navigator to join our friendly, fast-paced GP practice.

You will be at the heart of the surgery, delivering excellent patient care and customer service while supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the practice. This is a varied role that combines reception, care navigation, appointments management and administrative duties.

The role requires flexibility, with shifts available Monday to Friday between 08:00 and 18:30, and participation in a Saturday morning rota when required (i.e. for flu clinics).

Please note, the closing date may be brought forward if sufficient applicants are received.

Main duties of the job

• Greeting patients and visitors to the practice
• Answering and directing telephone calls
• Care navigating and signposting to the relevant team member and making appointments
• Answering patient queries both over the telephone and face to face
• Ensuring same day appointments are booked into appropriate slots in line with practice procedures
• Checking emails on a daily basis
• A variety of admin duties
