Receptionist/Care Navigator

Job summary

Are you looking for a rewarding role where no two days are the same and your work genuinely makes a difference? Woodview Medical Centre is seeking an enthusiastic and reliable care navigator to join our friendly, fast-paced GP practice.

You will be at the heart of the surgery, delivering excellent patient care and customer service while supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the practice. This is a varied role that combines reception, care navigation, appointments management and administrative duties.

Main duties of the job

  • Answering and directing telephone calls and handling patient enquiries
  • Carenavigating and signposting patients to the appropriate services
  • Booking, amending and cancelling appointments
  • Greeting patients and visitors in a professional and welcoming manner
  • Taking payments for private services and issuing receipts
  • Carrying out a range of administrative tasks, including scanning correspondence and updating patient records
  • Using the clinical system (SystmOne) to manage patient information and prescriptions
  • Supporting the opening and securing of the premises and maintaining a tidy, organised reception area

No previous GP or NHS experience is required asfull training will be provided for candidates with the right attitude and willingness to learn.

The role requires flexibility, with shifts available Monday to Friday between 08:00 and 18:30, and participation in a Saturday morning rota when required (i.e. for flu clinics).
