Job summary
Walton Medical Centre located in Walton on the Naze, are looking to recruit an experienced advanced nurse practitioner to deliver outstanding patient care on a part-time basis for 16 hours per week. Primary care experience is essential so only apply if you have this.
As a vital part of our multidisciplinary team, you will have the opportunity to support and care for a diverse patient group.
Main duties of the job
- Home visits and care home visits
- Initiating direct referrals as appropriate
- Minor illness clinics
- Independent prescribing - prescribing safe, effective and appropriate medication as defined by current legislative framework

- Masters degree in Clinical Practice
- Registered General Nurse with experience of working within primary care
- Recognised qualification at degree level or above including a diagnostic
- Nurse prescribing qualification

- Experience of providing multi-skilled healthcare and clinical treatment and be able to work with patients and members of the public
- Experience of working on clinical systems and be able to enter and use patient date efficiently, whilst maintaining confidentiality at all times
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and be able to liaise and communicate with clinical and administrative staff within the practice and partnership
