GP Assistant

Job summary
The Holbrook and Shotley practice are looking to welcome a GP assistant to work on a full-time basis, although part-time can be considered for the right applicant. The hours will be worked across both our sites, ideally with additional hours as required to cover for annual leave and sickness. You will play a full and active role as part of the practice multi-disciplinary team. Reporting to the practice manager and GPs, the successful applicant will provide admin and clinical duties.
Main duties of the job
- Managing all clinical post.
- Extracting information from clinical letters, applying medical codes as necessary.
- Suppoting patients with appointments, referrals and follow-up appointments.
- Performing ECGs, phlebotomy.
- Taking blood pressures.
- Supporting GPs in liaising with external agencies.
