Job summary

Are you a passionate and experienced nurse with specialist knowledge in children and young peoples respiratory care and long-term ventilation (LTV)? Do you want to make a real difference in the lives of families facing life-limiting conditions?

East Anglia's Children's Hospices (EACH) is seeking a clinical nurse specialist (CYP Long Term Ventilation & Respiratory Care) to lead and deliver expert, evidence-based care for babies, children, and young people (BCYP) with complex respiratory and LTV needs. This is a unique opportunity to work across three of our hospices and within a home setting, supporting families and developing the skills of our care teams.

This role is offered on a full-time basis but can consider part-time applications for over 30 hours per week. Please note that shifts include weekend working and possibly some nights with flexibility to meet the service needs required. Interviews will be held on 14/11/25.

Main duties of the job

  • Deliver highly specialised, family-centred nursing care for BCYP with respiratory and LTV needs.
  • Act as an expert resource and advocate for families, supporting safe care planning and hospital discharge.
  • Lead and support clinical teaching, competency development, and service improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with regional respiratory teams and contribute to seamless transition planning to adult services.
  • Be a visible clinical leader, providing mentorship and situational learning across EACH locations.
