Job summary

Little St Johns Surgery in Woodbridge are looking to recruit an enthusiastic practice paramedic to join our clinical team for 15 hours a week. This will be working across 5 days with flexible hours suited to the individual.

If you are an experienced paramedic wanting a new challenge, we would love to hear from you.

Main duties of the job

  • Provide clinical support to the clinical team and will work closely with all staff to provide healthcare for our patients
  • Undertake home visits for our patients
  • Help support the GP team with the management of care home patients
  • Refer patients as appropriate to other members of the multidisciplinary team, secondary care and to other relevant care providers
  • Support the clinical team with additional duties as required.

  • Be a registered paramedic, with current HCPC registration

Experience

  • Be able to effectively assess, plan, treat and refer patients.
  • Be able to evaluate patient care confidently.
  • Have experience of working to protocols and guidelines.
  • Exhibit excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
  • Have the ability to make clear decisions with confidence and communicate these effectively.
  • Experience of autonomous practice working and multi-professional team working.
  • Demonstrate a broad and sound knowledge of complex and common conditions in primary care in both adults and children.
