Prescribing Administrator

Job summary

Haverhill Family Practice are seeking a prescribing administrator to join their busy team on a part-time basis working 25 hours per week.

The successful person will be the focal point of communication between the GPs, ACP's, paramedics, nurse practitioners and other clinicians to ensure patients repeat medication is produced within the current protocols of the surgery.

Main duties of the job

  • Coordinating and preparing repeat prescriptions for our patients, data entry onto patient records, EPS.
  • Liaising with patients and pharmacies.
  • Provide general assistance to the practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone.
  • Process repeat prescription requests.
  • Liaise with GPs, clinical pharmacists, and nursing staff regarding medication queries.
  • Ensure that patient queries on medication are highlighted to the relevant GP.
  • Provide an effective administration service as part of the practice team to ensure the smooth and uninterrupted service of prescription support to clinicians.

You will be required to cover for sickness/annual leave.
