Job summary
Little St Johns Surgery are looking for a part-time receptionist to join our team in Woodbridge. You will need to be flexible, highly motivated and friendly with an excellent eye for detail.
The post is offered on 16.15 hours per week and you will be working the following days and hours;
- Tuesday: 7.45am to 1pm
- Wednesday: 8am - 1pm
- Thursday: 1pm - 7pm
You will also be asked to cover occasional Saturday mornings and for holidays and sickness as required.
General practice is a challenging environment that requires a calm and caring approach with the ability to work under pressure. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated team player who has customer service/patient experience and offers excellent communication skills.
Main duties of the job
- Handle all telephone and general enquiries in a professional manner, referring callers to appropriate healthcare professional.
- Make appointments for patients in accordance with practice protocols.
- Ensure that messages and requests for visits are recorded.
- Process all post and electronic communications on the day they arrive.
- Manage the uploading and downloading of temporary resident forms.
- Manage the waiting list for 24 hour blood pressure monitoring and 24 hour ECGs.
- General filing, photocopying as required.
