Locum GP

The closing date is 02 October 2025

Job summary

Cobbs Garden Surgery is looking to recruit a locum GP for 2-3 days a week to join us on a locum basis until February 2026.

We are looking for someone who wants to develop their role in the daily clinical management of our varied clinical team to provide a caring and professional service to our predominantly older population. You will be a valued and integral part of team helping shape the future of the team, practice and care provided.

The practice population is expanding because of new developments in the town and villages we serve which will see our list size grow from just under 9,000 patients to around 12,000 over the next few years.

Main duties of the job

  • Deal with a wide range of presenting health care needs in a primary care setting (face to face, telephone, via online messages and video consultations)
  • Support clinical colleagues in ensuring the highest standards of care for all patients
  • Contribute to planning and decision-making as part of the practice team, including MDT meetings
  • Be involved in all aspects of care, supported by a skilled clinical and administration team.
