Job summary

East Hill Surgery is a busy town centre GP Practice looking to recruit a practice nurse to join our nursing team to cover maternity leave, primarily covering our diabetic clinics.

Main duties of the job

  • Management of diabetes
  • Cervical cytology
  • Childrens immunisations
  • Wound care
  • Blood pressure checks
  • Contraceptive checks
  • ECGs
  • Injectable medication
  • Health checks
  • Phlebotomy

East Hill Surgery is a GP training practice and we actively support and encourage career development. We are a busy, effective and well-organised training GMS practice with 4 GP partners and 2 salaried GPs. Qualifications

Essential

  • A relevant nursing degree.
  • Current NMC registration with an active PIN.

Experience

Essential

  • We are looking for an NMC registered nurse, ideally with general practice experience who is proactive, enthusiastic and willing to be flexible and work as part of a team.
  • Diabetes management knowledge/experience essential.
  • Knowledge of Emis Web is desirable but full training would be provided.
