Healthcare Assistant/Phlebotomist

Job summary

GP Primary Choice are excited to have a position for a healthcare assistant/phlebotomist to join our team in Clacton. Hours are flexible but we would be looking for the successful applicant to work between 30 and 37.5 hours per week. Working in the diagnostic and screening team, there are a number of key services linked to this role making it a varied and challenging which could change daily depending on demand.

There may be travel to Colchester and Harwich on occasions, so applicants must be flexible to accommodate this. If you are a qualified and experienced healthcare assistant looking for a fresh and exciting challenge, we would love to hear from you.

Main duties of the job

• Provide a telephone screening assessment as part of a regional Target Lung Health Check Screening campaign.
• Provide phlebotomy services from a number of locations in Colchester and Tendring.
• Fit ECG monitors to patients as part of a diagnostic service.
• Support the set up and running of dermoscopic skin lesion service.
• Perform health checks.
• Attend regular meetings to support the delivery of projects.
• Chaperoning patients.
