Job summary

Are you a GP who has passion, drive, integrity, and initiative? Are you a newly qualified or an experienced GP looking for an opportunity to join a friendly and supportive practice?

Vida Healthcare has an exciting opportunity for a salaried GP to join us for 6-8 clinical sessions a week working from our Gayton Road site, although some cross site cover would be required. The successful post-holder would be responsible for your own administrative work and helping support others when they are on leave. You would be invited to attend team meetings as required.

We are more than happy to mentor recently qualified GPs building your confidence and pursuing new skills are welcomed.

Main duties of the job

• A variety of duties including face to face consultations, telephone consultations, home visits as required, assist staff and patients with clinical or prescribing queries, checking, and signing repeat prescriptions, managing investigation results and completing paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashion.
• Participate in activities required to assess compliance with the CQC Fundamental Standards.
• Provide any services as required for the Primary Care Network (PCN) agreement including shared QOF standards and service specifications.
• Provide high-quality medical services in the context of general practice to the patients registered with Vida Healthcare.
• Respond to medical/health problems presented by patients on the practice register, including history taking, diagnosis, investigation, treatment, and referral as appropriate.
• Read and interpret test requests and results ordered by you and other team members, taking appropriate action based on the findings.
