Job summary
Holbrook and Shotley Practice located in Ipswich, have an opportunity for an ANP to join their established team, ideally on a full time basis but we are flexible and happy to consider those looking for part-time role - please do get in touch.
The role offers you the opportunity to build on your experience of working effectively within a multi-disciplinary healthcare team, as you work alongside fellow professionals within the practice in support of one another.
Main duties of the job
- Respond to referrals and provide assessment, diagnosis and treatment at first point of contact by attending to patients, according to patients needs either in the practice or patient homes.
- Support, and continue the development of, an on-the-day emergency patient service in the practice.
- Accurately triage and prioritise patients, including in both emergency situations and telephone triage, demonstrating the use of a variety of techniques to elicit the history of an event/illness, including past medical and drug history.
- Evaluate clinical information from examination and history taking, and initiate appropriate treatment and/or referral.
- Review the effectiveness of the treatment provided, making changes where necessary to improve patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate clinical records in an efficient manner.

The Holbrook and Shotley Practice is based across two surgery sites. We pride ourselves on providing a high standard of care to our 8000 patients. Our practice team comprises of three GP partners, two salaried GP, supported by a highly experienced team of nurses, dispensers, paramedic, clinical pharmacist and the reception team.
