Job summary

Marriott's Medical Practices have an exciting opportunity to grow our team of patient coordinators and to further develop our progressive team. This fixed term maternity contract will be based at our Taverham surgery on a part-time basis for 18 hours per week and will be until August/September 2025, however this may be extended.

We offer a two-week induction whereby you will have time with our team to gain a good understanding of how the practice operates.

Main duties of the job

  • Offer general assistance to the practice team & project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone.
  • Ensure that all our patients have access to a safe surgery environment.
  • Receive, assist and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way.
  • Monitor and maintain the reception waiting area ensuring patients are kept informed in the event of any unforeseen circumstances or updates to clinics.
  • Undertake a variety of administrative duties to assist in the smooth running of the practice, including the provision of secretarial and clerical support to clinical staff and other members of the practice team.
  • Ensure accurate documentation within patient records via SystmOne.
  • Monitor and respond to online communications via our online system, Patchs.

We have a friendly and supportive team who are passionate about providing top quality service to our 13,000 patients across the Bacon Road Medical Centre and Taverham Surgery.
