Job summary
Wolverton Health Centre, a friendly and caring practice, has an opportunity for an enthusiastic patient navigator to join our busy reception team on a 9 month maternity contract, which could possibly be extended past this time. This role is offered on a part-time basis, for 25 hours per working 8am to 1pm, Monday to Friday.
The successful post-holder will be using our clinical system, SystmOne daily so it is essential that you are confident on new systems. General practice is a challenging environment that requires a calm and caring approach with the ability to work under pressure. Previous applicants need not apply.
Main duties of the job
- Greeting and directing all patients.
- Making appointments.
- Answering queries and complaints from patients and outside agencies.
- Accepting, issuing and handing out prescriptions, letters, completed forms etc.
- Advising patients of practice procedures.
- Registering new patients.
- Maintaining patient database and records, photocopying, filing and scanning.
