Job summary

At Abbey Road Surgery, an opportunity has arisen to join our friendly practice, we are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and committed GP to join our well-established GMS practice in a salaried position.

You will be working alongside three neighbouring practices as members of an active and supportive PCN. We offer:

• 6 sessions per week.
• £11,000 per session as a staring salary rising to £11,500 per session after successful completion of probationary period.
• Indemnity paid by practice.
• 6 weeks annual leave (pro rata) plus one week study leave. After successful completion of probationary period, 7 weeks annual leave (pro rata) plus one week study leave.
• Free onsite parking.

Main duties of the job

All applicants should have the following qualifications:

• Fully qualified GP with GMC registration.
• Annual appraisal and revalidation (when appropriate).
• Be on the NHSE medical performers list.

• Good understanding and experience of chronic disease management, and primary prevention and screening services;
• Ability to take responsibility for your own career development, learning and performance and are responsible for ensuring that all your mandatory training is in date;
• Awareness of and compliance with all relevant practice policies and guidelines, e.g. prescribing, confidentiality, data protection, health and safety;
• Commitment to life-long learning and audit to ensure evidence-based best practice;
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in a confidential manner.

We are an enthusiastic friendly practice with over 9,500 patients. Our premises are purpose built, well-equipped with a friendly working environment and a supportive admin team. We are CQC rated 'Good' and we are consistently high QOF achievers, offering a range of enhanced services. We use SystmOne as our clinical system.

We have a dedicated and enthusiastic team made up of one full-time and two part-time GP partners, one full-time and one part-time salaried GP, two part-time practice nurses and a full-time HCA.

Our practice aim is to deliver a high standard of compassionate care to all our patients of all ages and of a mixed demographic population.
