Job summary

East Anglia's Children's Hospices, EACH, are looking to recruit an experienced children's palliative care nurse to join them at The Nook Hospice, Framingham Earl, Norwich. The position is offered on a full-time basis, however if an applicant was looking for part-time, a minimum of 24 hours per week can be considered.

Thestandard shift structure is 12.5 hour shifts (includes unpaid break, bank holidays and weekends).

  • Day shift - 7:30am-8:00pm
  • Night shift - 7:30pm-8:00am
  • Homecare shift - in the community (hours vary)

We are looking for registered children's adult or learning disability nurses who wants to work within a multi-disciplined team to further their experience or develop skills working in children's palliative care.

Main duties of the job

  • Deliver safe and effective nursing care involving use of a wide range of clinical skills.
  • Deliver holistic nursing care and support to babies, children and young people with palliative and end of life care needs and their families.
  • Lead and co-ordinate shifts and undertake day-to-day operational duties as required.
  • Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care plans to meet the diverse and individual needs of babies, children, young people and their families, ensuring holistic care provided is family centred, needs led, evidence informed and meets all statutory requirements.
