Job summary
We are seeking an efficient and highly organised medical secretary to join our dynamic team at Mill Road surgery, on a part-time basis for 16 hours per week. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our practice, supporting our medical staff, and providing excellent service to our patients.
Main duties of the job
- Provide administrative support to doctors and other healthcare professionals.
- Prepare and manage correspondence, including letters, emails, and reports.
- Maintain and update patient records, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
- Handle telephone and face-to-face enquiries from patients, healthcare professionals, and external agencies.
- Process referrals, tasks and incoming emails from patients and third party providers.
- Assist in the preparation of medical documents.
- Ensure the practices policies and procedures are adhered to, particularly in relation to patient confidentiality and data protection.
- Coordinate with other staff members to ensure a seamless patient experience.
