Job summary
Walton Medical Centre has an exciting opportunity for an experienced nurse practitioner to join our practice. This role can be offered on a part-time basis, working 15-20 hours per week with flexibility to days and hours worked.
There is a wide socio-economic and demographic served within this area which will provide an interesting and varied case mix. You will be joining an enthusiastic team of clinicians and administrators. You will be well supported with on-going professional development (training support, CPD and peer support). The role will contribute to the improving quality of care of our patients across the network of practices.

Main duties of the job
As a nurse practitioner, you will be providing assessment, treatment, screening and advice to patients and working independently and alongside the nursing team/GP, making decisions/recommendations as required.
About us
Walton Medical Practice is situated in the traditional seaside resort of Walton on the Naze, on the Essex Coast. They have a list size of just over 8300 patients. As well as 2 GP Partners and a salaried GP, the practice team includes a clinical pharmacy team of 2, a Nursing team of 10 and an efficient and effective reception and administrative team of 18.
We also work as three collaborative Primary Care Networks (PCNs) which span across Colchester and Tendring:
- Riverside Medical Centre and Ardleigh Surgery
- Mersea Island Medical Practice, Tiptree Medical Centre and Rowhedge Medical Centre
- Walton Medical Centre, Colne Medical Centre and Wivenhoe Medical Centre.
