Job summary

Sidney House Surgery has an opportunity for an administrator to join our busy practice administration team and assist in the smooth delivery of excellent patient care. This role is offered on a part-time basis for 15 hours a week with the working pattern to be discussed. We would welcome applications from organised, adaptable and friendly individuals who are keen to help us provide excellent patient care.

Main duties of the job

  • Undertaking a variety of administrative duties including the provision of secretarial and clerical support to clinical staff and other members of the practice team.
  • Data entry and read coding of relevant patient information and medical data into the clinical system.
  • Scanning patient information into computerised records, including medical documents, hospital records and letters, as necessary.
  • Allocating workflow for review by doctors or other health professionals.
  • Dealing with referrals to primary care.
  • Processing practice post and emails.
  • Handling enquiries efficiently.

About us

We are a two-site training practice based in the semi-rural villages of Hatfield Peverel and Boreham, serving a patient population of 11,300. We are a SystmOne Practice with a consistently high QOF achievement and a CQC rating of Good.

We are part of the Aegros PCN with Lt. Waltham & Great Notley, Douglas Grove Surgery and the Beacon Health Group.

Our team is made up of three GP partners, five salaried GPs, a paramedic practitioner, a nurse prescriber, practice nurses and HCAs, a phlebotomist and dispensers. We are further supported by PCN staff including a pharmacist and physiotherapist. Additionally we have a well established non-clinical team of managers, administrators, dispensers and receptionists.
