Job summary
Chelmsford City Health PCN have an exciting opportunity for a hardworking, enthusiastic and innovative pharmacy technician to join our Primary Care Network who will be required to travel between the GP practices within our PCN. This role is offered on a full-time or part-time basis.
The successful candidate will benefit from this unique opportunity to build up strong working relationships across our organisation and will be actively involved in how their role evolves over time.

Main duties of the job
The purpose of the role is to develop our prescribing systems to maximise safe, effective and efficient prescribing in order to improve the quality of patient care. The post holder will help patients to get the best from their medicines by switching medications to agreed and approved protocols, improving repeat prescribing processes in general practice, including promotion of repeat dispensing and online ordering, minimising clinical risk and aiming to reduce wasted medicines.
The role will also include supporting the reception and admin teams with complex medication queries.
Other regular tasks will involve working with the GPs on prescribing projects and cost/safety audits and actions.

Two of the practices are dispensing practices and all four are training practices.
