Job summary
Oak Street Medical Practice in Norwich, has an opportunity for a patient care advisor/receptionist to join our team on a part time basis, with suggested hours of 18 per week. This would be 6 hour shifts over three days with school hours being considered.
In this essential front-line role at the practice, patient care advisors help patients to access the right services, assist with keeping health records accurate and up-to-date, and ensure that appointment bookings are well-managed.

Main duties of the job
- Greet and direct all patients.
- Act as first point of contact for patients , providing a welcoming and professional service.
- Manage appointments, queries and patient records with accuracy and confidentiality.
- Liaise with clinical staff to ensure the smooth running of daily operations.
- Deal with requests for information and managing problems and complaints.
- Advise patients of practice procedures.
- Register new patients.
- Answer the telephone, promptly.
- Accurately maintain patient database and records - workflow, summarising, filing, and scanning.

Oak Street Medical Practice is a team of some 30 members, including 2 partners. We have an exceptional multi-disciplinary team including physician associate, advanced clinical practitioner, nurses, nursing associate, healthcare assistants, social prescriber, mental health nurses, physiotherapist, and trainee pharmacy technician.
