Newly Qualified GP

Job summary

North Norfolk One PCN are looking to appoint a newly qualified GP to join our dynamic team. This will be a 12-month role from 1st April 2025 through ARRS funding, with potential to extend further depending ARRS funding from 2026.

The aim is to provide GP services, but also offer an experience across three well run but differing practices. We are looking for a 4-8 session GP depending on the candidate and the needs of the PCN.

The role would consist of 3 x 4 month placements at each practice giving an opportunity to gain valuable experience across different practices for a newly qualified GP. Support will be provided by the PCN clinical director with monthly mentoring sessions and ad hoc if required.

Benefits would include becoming familiar with both System One and EMIS as well as online consultation tools such as AccuRx, SystemOne Connect and Anima the latter of which uses AI to help triage. Lastly it offers an exciting way to feel your way into what type of practice suits you best.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for a GP with GMC registration and the following attributes;

• Good understanding and experience of chronic disease management, and primary prevention and screening services;
• Ability to take responsibility for your own career development, learning and performance and are responsible for ensuring that all your mandatory training is in date;
• Awareness of and compliance with all relevant practice policies and guidelines, e.g. prescribing, confidentiality, data protection, health and safety;
• Commitment to life-long learning and audit to ensure evidence-based best practice;
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in a confidential manner.

About us

The PCN is located near the beautiful North Norfolk coast and comprises of three practices Fakenham, Holt, and Sheringham Medical Practices. The practices are training, teaching, and research active and operate modern general practice models. High QOF achieving and rated Good by CQC.
