Job summary

Goldington Avenue Surgery in Bedford, is recruiting a permanent Patient Care Team member to work full-time from 10.30am to 6.30pm, Monday to Friday.

Main duties of the job

  • Greeting patients, making appointments, and dealing with requests via face to face and telephone.
  • Answering queries and complaints from patients and outside agencies, signposting to the appropriate staff member as appropriate.
  • Undertaking a variety of administrative duties to assist in the smooth running of the surgery.
  • Accurately maintaining patient database and records, photocopying, filing and scanning.

About us

We have over 19,000 patients registered at the practice and aim to provide all patients with a professional and caring healthcare experience in friendly and personal surroundings. We have 2 buildings which we operate out of and staff work across both sites.

  • We are recruiting into our patient care team and are looking for someone that has great communication skills and wants to improve the health outcomes of our patients by working closely with our clinical team.
  • We want you to come and work with us if you enjoy working with the public, have strong communication skills, can adapt to change, and have good technology skills (as all of our work is PC based).
  • Previous experience isn't necessary, and who you are is the most important factor. This is a varied and challenging role but is also rewarding when we can see how we are able to help our patients when they need us the most, but also to improve their overall health.
  • Full training will be provided.
