Job summary

Parkfield Medical Centre in Potters Bar is looking to recruit an enthusiastic practice nurse to join our supportive and friendly team on a part-time basis for 20-25 hours per week.

The practice nurse will work as part of the primary healthcare team providing personal medical services to the patients of practice.

Main duties of the job

  • Assist in and perform routine tasks related to patient care as directed by the partners.
  • Chronic disease management.
  • Immunisation / vaccination (including childhood immunisation).
  • Womens health and contraception.
  • Wound care.
  • Travel health.
  • ECGs.
  • Ear irrigation.
  • Assisting GPs with minor surgery and IUCD fittings.

About us

We are a large (13,000+ patients), progressive, busy EmisWeb practice with high QoF achievement. We have 4 partners, 4 salaried GPs and nursing team which currently consists of a nurse matron, nursing associate, practice nurses, paramedic and HCA. We are supported by a very large administration team.

We operate from modern, purpose-built premises with excellent transport links to London, Hertfordshire and beyond. We are an established training practice for East of England VTS scheme and Cambridge Medical School undergraduates. We have a highly engaged patient participation group of over 2,000 members.
