Salaried GP

Job summary

The Gade Surgery based in Rickmansworth, are looking for a newly qualified salaried GP to start as soon as possible to join our busy practice for a short term contract until March 2025. The position is to work 2 sessions per week, ideally on a Friday but we can be flexible on the days for the right individual. The role is funded under the GP ARRS scheme so we can only consider applications from newly qualified GPs (within2 years of MRCGP).

Working as part of our multidisciplinary team, you will have the opportunity to support and care for a diverse patient group.The role will include all general duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care.

Main duties of the job

• Undertaking a variety of duties including surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork, reports and correspondence.
• Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting medical problems, whether self-referred or referred from other healthcare workers within the organisation.
• Assessing the healthcare needs of patients.
• Screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness.
• Developing care plans for health inconsultation with patients and in line with current practice disease management protocols.

We are an established NHS GP surgery in the Rickmansworth and Chorleywood area. We have been looking after our population for over 30 years. We provide high-quality, caring and personal healthcare service to our whole patient population. We allocate all of our patients to a named GP but also give the option for patients to see whichever clinician they prefer. We want to try and continue to continuity of care model to help improve patient safety. We have a specialist multi-disciplinary team comprising of; GPs, nurses, pharmacists, physiotherapists, midwives, physician associates and health care assistants.
