Job summary
We are pleased to announce that we we are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic practice nurse to join our team of professionals in Milton Keynes on a full or part time basis.
You will play an important role in the future of the service and will be part of a wider team, who can be agile, innovative, and future focused.
OneMedical Group has grown in Milton Keynes. Since1st of September 2023 we have delivered excellent care services to patients and communities across 3 sites in Milton Keynes: Brooklands, Whitehouse and Neath Hill surgeries.
Main duties of the job
- Venepuncture
- Blood pressure
- ECG
- Height/weight/BMI
- Health promotion
- Childhood and adult immunisations
- Wound care
- Contraception
- Cervical screening
- Spirometry
- Long-term condition management such as diabetes, COPD, asthma
You will have a passion for supporting patients to be healthy by utilising your skills in health prevention, screening, and early management of long-term health conditions.
You will strive to continuously deliver quality and safe services to a high standard.

Essential
- Registered with the NMC.
- A degree in nursing.
Experience
Essential
- Substantial practice nurse experience
- Evidence of ongoing CPD
- Some experience of long-term condition management and cervical screening is essential
- Minimum of 1 Long Term Condition diploma
- Have knowledge of patients with long term conditions
- Be familiar with Patient Group Directions (PGDs) and associated policy
- Produce accurate, contemporaneous and complete records, consistent with legislation, policies and procedures.
Additional skills:

- You must have experience of caring for patients with a variety of long-term health conditions, be comfortable with change, able to work autonomously and keen to work in non-traditional care systems.
- A willingness to learn and develop skills and undertake training relevant to the role is also essential, with an openness to support the wider nursing team.
- You will have a passion for supporting patients to be healthy by utilising your skills in health prevention, screening, and early management of long-term health conditions.
- You will strive to continuously deliver quality and safe services to a high standard.
- The post-holder will be expected to work collaboratively with the wider team to deliver excellent nursing care and to maximise practice income such as QOF and enhanced service contracts.
