Job summary
Peartree Surgery and West Horndon Surgery have an opportunity for a receptionist to join our team on a full-time basis, for 37.5 hours per week. There is more to our receptionist roles than answering the phone and making appointments. In this essential front-line role at the practice, receptionists help patients to access the right services, assist with keeping health records accurate and up-to-date, and ensure that appointment bookings are well-managed.
We are looking for a receptionist to join our busy practice team and help make a positive impact on our local community. We would welcome applications from organised, adaptable, and friendly individuals, who are keen to help us provide high levels of customer service
Main duties of the job
- Greeting and directing all patients.
- Maintaining and monitoring the practice appointment system.
- Accepting, issuing and handing out prescriptions, letters, completed forms, specimen bottles, etc.
- Dealing with requests for information, and managing problems and complaints.
- Advising patients of practice procedures.
- Registering new patients.
- Answering the telephone, promptly.
- Inputting data onto patients records as necessary.
- Maintain a clean, tidy and effective working area at all times.
- Support all clinical staff with general tasks as requested.
About us
Peartree Surgery is a busy surgery in South Ockendon with a branch surgery in West Horndon, we are a rapidly expanding dispensing practice with around 7,700 patients across both surgeries.
