Job summary

Are you a dedicated GP seeking a supportive and friendly practice?

Brandon Medical Practice are a small established practice seeking a salaried GP to join our team on a full or part-time basis. We are offering a starting salary of £11,000 - £12,000 per session annually based on experience and are currently looking to cover 6 sessions per week.

We use SystmOne and Ask my GP, a demand led service. This works well for our patients, giving clinicians the flexibility to triage and book their own appointments giving greater continuity of care, which allows you to prioritise your workload.

Main duties of the job

  • Surgery consultations.
  • Telephone consultations and queries.
  • Visiting patients at home.
  • Checking and signing repeat prescriptions.
  • Dealing with queries, paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashion.
  • Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other health care workers within the organisation.
  • Assessing the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems.
  • Screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness.
  • Developing care plans for health.
  • Providing counselling and health education.

SPC is an innovative partnership of Suffolk GP surgeries. Serving 5,500 diverse patients, we deliver comprehensive PMS services with a focus on high-quality care for individuals from various backgrounds. Supported by a collaborative team including practice nurses, paramedics and an HCA.

We are part of the Forest Heath PCN which includes visiting paramedics, pharmacists, physiotherapists, cancer care nurses, social prescribers, and health and wellbeing services we offer holistic care to our community.

We are a training practice engaged in medical education and provide teaching opportunities through GP training programs. We have strong partnerships with local healthcare organisations.

  • General practice (Vocational Training Scheme) trained.
  • On medical performers list.
  • Enhanced DBS check.

Desirable

  • LTC training (Diabetic, Asthma, COPD, CHD and CKD).
