Job summary
Chelmer Medical Partnership are seeking an experienced medical secretary on a full or part-time basis, to join their well established team at their Humber Road Surgery. We are flexible with regard to days and hours for the right individual and this will be discussed on application.
Main duties of the job
- Providing a full secretarial service including the typing of letters, reports, patient referrals, meeting minutes, memorandums, etc.
- Dealing with telephone and email enquiries.
- Managing referrals to secondary care.
- Audio typing of GP correspondence using the digital dictation system.
- Assisting GPs with negotiating care pathways.
- Handling queries regarding hospital appointments and treatments.
- The successful candidate will be able to work extra hours to support colleagues holiday and any sickness.
