Job summary
Siam Surgery has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced nurse practitioner/advanced nurse practitioner to join our friendly, hardworking team on a full-time or part-time basis, hours negotiable.
Main duties of the job
The main responsibilities of the role include:
- Delivering a high standard of patient care, using advanced, autonomous clinical skills and a broad, in-depth, theoretical knowledge-base.
- Completing both face to face and telephone consultations.
- Conducting home visits.
- Triage.
- Working collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary general practice team.
- Providing expert advice to patients, carers and colleagues.
- Developing innovative concepts, models, methods and practices, to help deliver improved primary care to our practice population.
- Advancing patient health and well-being through the use of health promotion, health education, screening and therapeutic communication skills.
- As an independent prescriber: to prescribe safe, effective and appropriate medication, as defined by current legislative framework.
- Leading and undertaking research and audits.
- Providing leadership, education and training to different healthcare professionals, staff and students.
- As a vital part of our multidisciplinary team, you will have the opportunity to support and care for a diverse patient group.

Siam Surgery is a semi-rural GMS practice which provides a high level of care to just over 12,000 patients in Sudbury, Suffolk and its surrounding villages.
The Practice:
- Stable partnership of 3 GPs supported by a dedicated team of 4 nurse practitioners, 3 practice nurses and a trainee nursing associate.
- Large multi skilled non-clinical team.
- Part of a 2 practice PCN with an excellent team of multidisciplinary staff integrated into the practice.
