Job summary

Longfield Medical Centre is looking to welcome a dispenser into our busy practice, who will play a full and active role as part of the practice multi-disciplinary team. The role is offered on a full or part time basis, the shift pattern will be discussed at interview but includes Saturday hours 9am-1pm on a one in four rota.

Main duties of the job

  • Assisting with repeat prescription requests, providing advice and being able to resolve queries.
  • Stock management and maintenance.
  • Dispensing prescriptions.
  • Ensuring optimisation of medication.
  • Working with GPs and other teams within the practice to ensure seamless service in regards to prescription requests.
  • Analysing prescription data in order to produce accurate prescribing reports.

About us

Longfield Medical Centre is a semi-rural training practice with a rapidly growing list size currently caring for nearly 17,000 patients with anticipation of growth to continue over the next few years. The dispensary is a very busy working environment dispensing to approx. 3000 patients. The team comprises of one pharmacy technician, three dispensers, two trainee dispensers and a delivery driver.
