Oak Street Medical Practice is a vibrant practice with a diverse population in the heart of Norwich. Our practice:
- Has a very low visiting rate (We utilise our local Home Visiting Service).
- Has personal lists to encourage continuity of care.
- Offers 15 minute appointments.
- Shares out On-Call duties proportionally amongst the GP team.
- Is supportive of training and development for staff and partners.
- Is actively involved in the proactive Norwich North Primary Care Network, developing and implementing new opportunities within this network.
- Has excellent QOF/Enhanced Service/Patient Satisfaction Achievements.
- Is CQC rated GOOD January 2020.
- Has on site free parking.

The practice is involved in teaching Year 3 students from the UEA Medical School and we would be very interested in any applicant who is keen in developing a teaching and training role in their career.
Main duties of the job
The role includes the usual mix of same-day and routine face-to-face and telephone appointments, duty sessions on a pro-rata basis, and a personal GP list.

About us
Oak Street Medical Practice is a friendly practice with an experienced, motivated and happy team, that serves a diverse population in the heart of Norwich. Our current patient list size is some 7100 and the practice utilises the SystmOne IT system.We are an active participant in Norwich North PCN.
The practice has 2 GP partners, 1 salaried GP, 1 physician associate, 2 practice nurses, 1 trainee nursing associate, and 3 health care assistants. In addition, the practice is supported by locum GPs, an advanced clinical practitioner, PCN ARRS staff including a mental health practitioner, a MIND link-worker, and a physiotherapist. The clinical team are supported by an experienced and motivated patient services team which includes health care navigators/receptionists, administrators, prescription officers, care co-ordinator and medical secretaries.
We offer minor surgery procedures including vasectomies, and value research and teaching as part of our life-long learning.
