Job summary

Rothschild House Surgery Group is looking for a salaried GP to join their busy practice and friendly team, covering 6-8 sessions a week. We are a very friendly, high achieving and dynamic training practice, located in the Chilterns.

Due to an upcoming retirement and the recent expansion of our surgeries we are now looking for a highly motivated GP to join our clinical team at our Tring Surgery. The practice works as one team across our 5 sites, which gives us resilience and strong mutual support. GPs are based at one main site. Our GP led triage for same day requests, has transformed our GP working day to be one of the best we know of.

Main duties of the job

  • Undertaking a variety of duties including surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork, reports and correspondence in a timely fashion;
  • Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting medical problems, whether self-referred or referred from other healthcare workers within the organisation;
  • Assessing the healthcare needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems;
  • Screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness;
  • Developing care plans for health inconsultation with patients and in line with current practice disease management protocols;
  • Providing health education;
  • Recording clear consultation notes to agreed standards;
  • Collecting data for audit purposes and complying with QOF requirements;
  • Delivering enhanced services;
  • Compiling and issuing computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions;
  • All general duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care.

Rothschild House Group is a GP Practice looking after 43,000 patients across the beautiful Chilterns area and market towns of Tring, Berkhamsted and Markyate. The practice has a team of 140 full and part time staff across 5 surgeries, working closely together to deliver the highest standard of care for our patients.
