Kingswood Medical Centre in Basildon is looking for a salaried GP, with a view to partnership, to join our friendly and busy practice. We are very flexible with hours/sessions required and would welcome any discussion with regard to working pattern.

Working as part of our multidisciplinary team, you will have the opportunity to support and care for a diverse patient group.
About us
Kingswood Medical Centre isa GMS non-dispensing practice,with a growing list size,that looks after approximately 9,700 patients. We are incredibly proud of how we provide care for our patients.We are rated as CQC Good and are a high QOF achieving practice.Our team consists of 2 GP partners supported by two salaried GPs.We have one ANP, two practice nurses, two HCAs, andalso a variety of support staff from our PCN consisting of pharmacists, physio, mental health practitioners, a home visiting service and are soon to be joined by a GPA.The clinical staff are supported by our admin team including receptionists, secretary, and workflow clerk. We are a SystmOne practice and hold regular clinical meetings and practice staff meetings.

Job responsibilities
The main responsibilities of the role include:
- Undertaking a variety of duties including face to face, telephone or video consultations, reviewing and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork, reports, and correspondence.
- Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting medical problems, whether self-referred or referred from other healthcare workers within the organisation.
- Assessing the healthcare needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems.
- Screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness.
- Developing care plans for health in consultation with patients.
- Providing health education.
- Recording clear consultation notes to agreed standards using templates provided (Ardens).
- Collecting data for audit purposes and complying with QOF requirements.
- Delivering enhanced services in conjunction with the clinical team.
- All general duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care.

- Fully qualified GP with current GMC registration;
- Annual appraisal and revalidation (when appropriate);
- Be on the NHSE medical performers list;
- Knowledge of SystmOne;
