Job summary

GP Healthcare Alliance (GPHA) is looking for an assistant operations manager to join their expanding NHS and private services team. This is a full time role, covering 37.5 hours per week over five days. The five days will alternate each week between Monday-Friday and Tuesday-Saturday.Travel between all of our sites will be required, so all applicants should hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle.

About us

GP Healthcare Alliance is a company, originally formed as a GP Federation, made up of 18 practices who work together to provide healthcare for our practices and patients,in Castle Point, Rochford and Rayleigh, Essex.All practice members remain independent contractors, but work collaboratively to improve healthcare services within our area.

We provide a range of primary care and community services to our local residents, various at scale services for practices, as well as professional staff training. We meet nationwide challenges with local knowledge and expertise, tailoring our services to reflect the needs of the communities in which we work.

We work with local NHS clinicians in the delivery of the services, thereby supporting the retention of strength and depth within the local NHS clinical teams.

  • running our private clinic in Hadleigh,
  • owning and developing existing services across south east Essex,
  • capturing patient feedback,

  • leading and managing a team of clinical and non-clinical colleagues,

Knowledge and skills

Essential

  • Fostering relationships within the team is highly important in ensuring positive outcomes, so we are looking for a real people-person with a magnetic personality and genuinely caring approach to people-management. This role would suit you if you have a creative mind, are well organised, and have an inventive approach to presenting data for regular company reports.
  • The ideal candidate for this role will:
  • hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle - this is essential as travel between all of our sites will be required;
  • have demonstrable experience in mobilising new operations and implementing changes within a team;
  • have at least 2 years experience in a supervising or management role;
  • have good working knowledge of SystmOne. Please describe your experience with this system in your application;
  • have a proven ability to work on your own initiative;
  • be I.T. savvy and capable with MS Outlook, Excel and Powerpoint as a minimum. A good level of I.T. skills is a must for this role, as we are continually developing our business and utilising new and innovative technologies.
