Saffron Health Partnership is looking to recruit an experienced advanced clinical practitioner.
Working as part of our large, friendly multidisciplinary team, you will have the opportunity to provide care to a diverse patient group.
Main duties of the job
he role is part of our Senior Clinical Team and the post holder will work alongside our established and experienced Prescribing Clinicians, including our Advanced Clinical Practitioner Nursing Lead, our Advanced Nurse Practitioners, our Emergency Care Practitioners and our GPs.
About us
We are a long-established practice with a very friendly team serving patients from our 3 sites in Biggleswade, Sandy and Langford. It is expected that the postholder will spend most of their time at our Biggleswade premises, which is under a 5-minute walk from the train station. We also have a staff car park.
Our list size is currently just over 21,000. We use SystmOne and consult with our patients in a variety of ways.We have a fantastic clinical team comprised of GPs, an Advanced Clinical Practitioner Nursing Department Lead, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Emergency Care Practitioners, Practice Nurses and HCAs supported by a highly experienced non-clinical team.
The practice has a strong culture of supporting individual learning needs and continuing professional development.

- Autonomous clinical working in a practice-based setting;
- Work as part of the Duty Clinical Team to assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate treatment, interventions and care for patients presenting with an undifferentiated diagnosis;
- Clinically examine and assess patient needs from a physiological and psychological perspective, and plan clinical care accordingly;
- Able to triage and consult with patients both remotely and face-to-face;

Confident in their own clinical capabilities, they will be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. They should have a flexible attitude and must be a team player.
- Qualifications, skills and experience required:
- Registration with relevant professional body
- MSc in Advanced Practice, or equivalent qualification
- Independent non-medical prescribing qualification
- Significant post-registration experience
- High standard of oral and written communication skills and confidence to discuss patient management in practice-based MDTs
- High level of capability using outcome measures and audit
- Confidence and ability to accurately assess and manage complex patient presentations to a high professional standard
- Ability to critique own practice
- Personally resilient and able to manage time and workload effectively
- Excellent inter-personal and communication skills
- Ability to take responsibility for your own professional development, learning and performance
- Up-to-date knowledge of issues and developments in profession-specific area of practise
- Significant experience working in primary care
- Commitment to life-long learning and audit to ensure evidence-based best practice.
