Salary:£50,000 - £55,000 + £5000 Welcome Bonus
Hours:Monday-Sunday, on a shift pattern basis

Introduction:
InHealth offer a fully managed ultrasound scanning and diagnostic service, giving the NHS and independent private healthcare providers access to technically advanced, fully staffed ultrasound facilities, with fast access to services for patients in the community.
We are looking for a Sonographer with MSK experience to join our Ultrasound team in London on a full-time permanent basis. This role is working 37.5 hours a week from Monday to Sunday and will be working across various InHealth sites in London so you will be eligible to claim travel and subsistence expenses. Sonographers in London work with a dedicated Health Care Assistant with pre-booked set patient appointments throughout each clinic daily.
Main duties of the job
What you will do:
- As an InHealth Sonographer you will undertake ultrasound procedures efficiently and effectively for both the public and private sectors. You will adhere to best practice of ultrasound techniques and maintain a high level of professionalism and technical standard of work, complying with relevant Codes of Practice.
- Perform Mainly MSK scans, in line with guidelines

- Ensuring the booking of patients and all patient information systems are maintained with accurate and up to date information
- Running quality assurance checks on equipment and actioning as appropriate
- Providing a good experience for patients in attendance for an ultrasound procedure, supporting them through the process from referral to results
- Ensuring due regard is given to the customs, values and spiritual beliefs of patients and to ensure patients views are sought and taken into account
- Assisting placement students and other colleagues in the achievement of their learning outcomes.

Essential
- We are looking for someone who has:
- A PgDip in Ultrasound or equivalent
- Membership of an appropriate professional body and holds a valid registration, e.g. NMC or HPC
- Extensive competency in MSK sonography
- Expertise to ensure the appropriate triage, booking and examination of patients
- A high level of professionalism and technical standard of work, complying with relevant Codes of Practice
- Aptitude towards improving quality
- Understanding of clinical governance
- Proven competency in verbal and written communication including report writing
- Understanding of the Data Protection Act and Caldicott Principles
- Computer literacy with accurate data entry skills and attention to detail
- A flexible approach to work, with the ability to work contracted hours across 7 days a week, covering holidays and sickness on an ad hoc basis when required.
