community settings each year across the UK in GP Practices, Medical Centres and

Main duties of the job
What you will do:
· As an InHealth Cardiac Physiologist you will be expected to be proficient with the BSE reporting guidelines and provide a safe and welcoming clinical environment for the patient throughout the Echo examination.

What you are responsible for:
- Providing a first-class experience for
patients attending ECHO examinations, supporting them through the process
- Running quality assurance checks on equipment
and action as appropriate

Submitting
reports and archiving study images in accordance with contractual requirements
and local SOPs

Escalating
any delays in reporting to your Line Manager and Clinical Lead immediately
·
Complying
with health and safety site rules
- Liaising
with GPs/relevant hospital departments for urgent clinical referrals
- Respecting and working within patient's and
service users' customs, values and spiritual beliefs, making sure their
views are sought and taken into account
- Supporting
patient bookings and making sure patient information systems are
maintained with accurate and up-to-date information.

- A high level of professionalism and technical standard of work
- The ability to comply with relevant Codes of Practice
- A full understanding of the implications of the Data Protection Act, Information Governance Statement of Compliance and Caldicott Principles
- The understanding to deliver on the Care Quality Commission fundamental standards for health care
- Excellent written, verbal and listening communication skills
- Computer literacy with accurate data entry skills and attention to detail
- Professionalism and a cooperative attitude towards patients, customers and colleagues
- A willingness to embrace new thinking and new technologies
- A demonstrable aptitude towards improving quality
- Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.

- In performing and reporting adult trans-thoracic echocardiograms
- Hold British Society of Echocardiography (BSE) accreditation (or equivalent) or be currently collating log-book cases for your BSE practical
