This varied role combines frontline reception duties with radiographic assistant support, giving you the chance to welcome patients, support registration, and ensure a smooth, professional experience. Youll also provide essential behind-the-scenes support to the Mammography team, helping to maintain efficient workflows and high-quality patient care. The role offers a friendly, supportive environment and opportunities to develop skills across administrative and clinical support areas.
Main duties of the job
You will deliver a professional and compassionate reception service, greeting patients and visitors and supporting registration. You will assist the Mammography team by downloading and managing images from mobile screening units onto PACS, tracking image batches, paperwork, and reporting workflows.
The role includes liaising with other screening centres and NHS Trusts, preparing documentation to support reporting and arbitration, maintaining records, stock levels, and quality documentation, and supporting clinical and non-clinical colleagues to ensure a smooth patient journey. This post combines desk-based work with some handling of film batches and paperwork, requiring organisation, attention to detail, and a professional, empathetic approach to patients and colleagues.
