Job summary

InHealth is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Healthcare Assistant to join our ENT service across multiple sites in Manchester. This is a permanent, full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. As a Healthcare Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of high-quality, patient-focused ENT services. You will work closely with clinicians and the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure patients receive a safe, efficient, and positive experience throughout their appointment journey. This role offers variety, as you will work across different clinical settings, supporting both patients and staff in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for assisting with patient preparation, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring clinical areas are clean, safe, and well-prepared. We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills, a caring and professional approach, and the flexibility to travel between sites. Previous experience in a healthcare or customer-facing role is desirable, although full training and support will be provided. Main duties of the job

The Healthcare Assistant will support the ENT service by providing high-quality care and assistance to patients throughout their clinical pathway. Key duties include welcoming patients and ensuring they feel comfortable and supported, preparing patients for procedures, and acting as a chaperone when required. You will assist clinicians during clinics to ensure appointments run efficiently and to a high standard. The role involves completing documentation, updating patient records accurately, and using internal systems and Microsoft Office as required. You will help maintain stock levels, support administrative tasks such as answering calls, and contribute to the smooth day-to-day running of the service. You will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness, infection prevention standards, and health and safety requirements within clinical areas. The post holder will work across multiple sites in Manchester and must be flexible, reliable, and able to work effectively as part of a team. You will demonstrate empathy, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to supporting both patients and colleagues.
