Location: Middlewich
Hours: Full-time | 8:30am4:30pm or 9am5pm, Monday to Friday
Hybrid Working: Office-based Monday, Tuesday & Friday | Home-based Wednesday & Thursday (post-probation)

Lung Cancer Screening (LCS) is a new and growing area for the NHS and InHealth, making this an exciting time to join our team. We support the NHS with software, triage services, and mobile CT scanning to help detect lung cancer early and save lives.
About the Role
Were looking for a compassionate and detail-oriented Lung Cancer Screening Support Officer to join our dedicated team. This role is essential in ensuring patient safety across the lung cancer screening pathway through a process known as failsafe - making sure no patient is missed or left behind.
This is more than just an administrative role. Its ideal for someone with a background in a GP surgery, care home, or healthcare setting, who understands the importance of care, empathy, and precision in supporting patients through potentially life-changing journeys.
Main duties of the job
- Carry out regular failsafe checks to ensure patient safety across the LCS pathway
- Monitor patients from invitation through to follow-up or discharge
- Communicate with clinical teams, GPs, and stakeholders
- Respond to patient and stakeholder queries via phone, email, and post
- Maintain accurate records and follow all failsafe procedures
What Were Looking For- Experience in a healthcare or patient-facing role is desirable (e.g. GP surgery, care home, hospital)
- A genuine passion for helping others and making a positive difference
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Understanding of patient confidentiality and data protection (GDPR)
- Resilience and the ability to remain calm under pressure
