Job summary
Were looking for a Lead Cardiographer to join our Physiological Measurements team on a full-time permanent basis. This is a mobile role, working across our clinics in Enfield, Golders Green & Stratford.
As the Lead Cardiographer, you will play a pivotal role in the leadership and delivery of our Physiological Measurement services, including Resting ECGs, Ambulatory ECGs, and Blood Pressure monitoring. You'll be responsible for clinical quality, operational excellence, and team leadership in a patient-focused environment.
Main duties of the job
What you will do:
Lead service delivery of ECG and BP monitoring services in line with clinical governance and contractual standards.
Support and mentor staff, providing hands-on training and assessments for current Cardiographers.
Oversee clinic operations, ensuring effective delivery and smooth day-to-day running of services.
Perform clinical duties including patient preparation, ECG testing, and device fitting, ensuring patients receive high-quality care.
Manage resources including staff rotas, equipment tracking, and stock control.
Act as a subject matter expert, resolving technical issues and improving processes to enhance service delivery.
Uphold safety and compliance, championing best practices in health and safety, infection control, and data protection.

You are clinically skilled and operationally experienced, who thrives in a leadership role and is passionate about patient care. You bring a combination of hands-on expertise, excellent communication, with a calm, organised approach.
You will have:
- Minimum 2 years' experience working as a Cardiographer/ATO.
- Proficiency in performing and interpreting Resting ECGs and fitting Ambulatory ECG/BP devices.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills with a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Proven ability to manage and prioritise workloads in a clinical setting.
- A collaborative and flexible attitude, with the ability to motivate and support a multidisciplinary team.
Essential qualifications and skills:
- 5 GCSEs (Grade C or above) including English or equivalent.
- NVQ II in Care/Clinical Support or similar.
- Strong IT literacy and excellent communication skills.
- Understanding of patient confidentiality, infection control, and clinical governance.
Desirable:
- Foundation Degree in Physiology or equivalent.
- Membership with SCST or relevant professional body.
- Experience in a supervisory role within a healthcare setting.
