Job Title: Superintendent Radiographer
Hours: Monday-Friday typically- 37.5(Participation in management on-call weekend rota required).

We are recruiting for a Superintendent Radiographer within our multi-modality Community Diagnostic Centre at our established Fitzrovia, London location. We are the UKs largest and leading provider of open MRI services, pioneering the use of Upright and Open MRI technology. We specialise in providing comfort-focused diagnostic imaging, catering to patients with claustrophobia, mobility issues or those requiring weight-bearing scans.
Our state-or the-art centre, recently refurbished is one of few centres in Europe equipped with two Open / Upright MRI scan rooms, allowing us to offer unparalleled patient care and flexibility specifically designed for patients who suffer from claustrophobia or anxiety, as well as for those patients that need to be observed during the MRI procedure. The centre also encompasses CT & X-ray services.
Right now, we are looking to recruit a Superintendent Radiographer, to support the Service Manager and support managing the team of Radiographers. You will typically work Monday to Friday with at least one of those shifts being clinical each week.
Main duties of the job
Undertaking MRI, CT and X-ray scans in line with existing modality specific clinical guidelines and protocols.
Ensuring the service delivers the highest standard of patient care whilst meeting customers expectations.
Helping ensure the building is maintained and well kept, clean and in line with IPC standards and all issues surrounding this are escalated to the Service Manager.
Supporting with the rota for the department, ensuring sufficient employee resource availability through effective planning
Helping oversee all day to day activity across a 7 day service. Ensuring you are kept up to date on all InHealths processes and procedures
Supporting the service manager to recruit, induct, train and support all Radiography, Respirator and Phlebotomy staff.
Ensuring good communication is maintained and encouraged with the team and all stakeholders.
Deputising as the Service Manager where required and support them with ad hoc duties.

What you will do:
- As an InHealth Superintendent Radiographer you will be responsible for supporting staff, clinical leadership and deputising in the absence of the service Manager. You will operate in accordance with local guidelines and company policies to deliver a service that is aligned to contractual and governance requirements. Your working week will consist of a mix of clinical shifts and supporting the Service Manager with the day to day running of the unit
What you are responsible for:
- Undertaking MRI, CT and X-ray scans in line with existing modality specific clinical guidelines and protocols.
- Ensuring the service delivers the highest standard of patient care whilst meeting customers expectations.

We are looking for someone who has:
- A BSc in diagnostic radiography or equivalent
- A valid professional membership (HCPC registration)
- Experienced in leading teams with the ability to coach and mentor.
- Good understanding of CQC fundamental standards, Health & Safety, Infection Control, the Data Protection Act and Caldicott Principles
- Ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Well developed in organisational and time management skills, and able to prioritise conflicting demands.
- The ability to motivate and lead, with a desire to exceed expectations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
